In 2022 I moved to Raglan, New Zealand. I was in a new town, in a country as far away from my home and friends as I could be, naturally I got a bit lonely. One day I saw a flyer for a beginners pottery class at the local arts centre. Why not? I thought, pottery has always seemed fun and it'd be a good way to make some friends, 6 weeks later I had a couple new friends and a new passion and hobby.
On returning back to Devon I immediately requisitioned the shed in my Mum's garden to use as a studio, promising to fix the leaks, remove the ivy and lay a new timber floor. One year on and I'm happy as ever in the shed, experimenting with the form, glazing and enjoying the quiet pursuit of steady improvement.
I'm grateful to say work is currently available in shops around Devon, Cornwall & Mallorca.
